The Boreas Corp has been perfecting their stasis tech for decades, and the MKIII is a much sort after statis symbol for the ultra wealthy. The MKIII is much more than a cryo pod, the third iteration pulling triple duty as clone incubator, life extending cryo chamber and long term sleep pod for those long offworld excursions. They also make an excellent transport for smuggling live cargo, and as such show up on the black markets and shady warehouses of Easy District from time to time.
